EXTRA-GALACTIC ASTRONOMY

Dr Saeed Tavasoli

He has done MSc (2005) and PhD (2011) with me and since then has been active member of the Observational Astronomy and Cosmology Group at SoA.

Dr Atefeh Javadi

She has joined SoA in 2011. She is the specialist of the group in stellar evolution. She works on star formation in local galaxies and Diffuse Interstellar bands.

Dr Amin Farhangnia

Amin did his PhD in producing the map of the Diffuse Interstellar bands in local bubble, thanks to Dr Atefeh Javadi and Dr Jacco van Loon who collaborated strongly on this research project. He now is a postdoc at SoA.

Dr Halime Miraghaei

Halime finished her PhD with me in 2014 on GMRT observations of a sample of fossil dominant galaxies. Since then she is a post-doc at SoA.

Dr Moein Mosleh

Moein has completed his PhD in Leiden in 2014 and since then he has been a postdoc in our group in SoA. He is specialised in galaxy evolution with redshift.

Dr Somayeh Sheikhnezami

Somayeh has joined school of astronomy in 2015. She performs MHD simulations and studies formation of jets in different scale.
